Here at SAR ACCOUNTING, we are dedicated to you and your individual accounting and taxation requirements.

SAR Accounting was established in July 2010 after a need was discovered that clients within our region were looking for an accounting firm that understood their needs, a knowledgeable professional firm that could provide these services at cost effective rates.

In 2010 we opened our doors in a small office block in the main street of Yarraman, Qld, within 18 months we had outgrown the existing office and moved to a bigger brighter office just a few doors up.

SAR Accounting is a family run practice and whilst we have grown immensely since our humble beginnings our priority is, and always will be, to offer exceptional one-on-one services to our clients.  We aim to personally get to know our clients businesses, and offer good old fashion service at very competitive rates.

Sarah started with the firm April 2021 and is the new face of SAR Accounting looking after our front desk.

I was born and bred in the Blackbutt area.

I am looking forward to working with the awesome SAR team.

Things that make me smile:

My beautiful granddaughter and 5 crazy kids, my beloved Border Collies and Siberian cats of course.

Things that make me frown:

Hypocrisy and littering

Petra Kettle

Data & Systems Analyst

Petra started with the firm Jan 2018 and looks after our procedures and systems while providing backup for both Sheryle and Sophy when required

I really enjoy working at SAR, we have a great team and we are guaranteed to laugh at least a couple times a day - what’s not to love about that!

Things that make me smile:

My kids and grandkids, my husband, cats, horses, my favourite song on the radio, spending time with friends, oh and when my husband takes me on adventures - I'm lucky, I get to smile a lot...

Things that make me frown;

Hot humid sticky days, sticky floors or fingers, (I really don’t deal with sticky anything - except Sticky Balsamic, I love that!), sad children and empty bank balances...

Julie Foley

PA to Sheryle
Julie started with the firm in June 2020, just in time to welcome in tax season and will no doubt hit the ground running.

I love the lifestyle living in the country offers.

I’m looking forward to a change and the SAR team have been super welcoming…

I already appreciate they have a sense of humour :)

Things that make me smile:
Sunrises, bushwalking, dogs….when I have these 3 things together – happy days!

...add a Siberian cat and my days would be blissful

Things that make me frown:
Rude people and animal cruelty.

Sophy Gregg

Administration Officer

Sophy started with the firm Jan 2018 and works on the front desk doing everything administration as well as seeing to our clients every need.  Sophy is also our data entry guru.

I love working at SAR, my team mates are happy and friendly which makes the days enjoyable.

Things that make me smile:

Spending time with my partner Jon.  We really love to take our son motorbike riding and spending time with my family, and, dare I say... siberian cats...

Things that make me frown:

Grasshoppers - Grasshoppers are perfectly fine provided they don't jump on me...

...and mess, I like things to be tidy.
